Folk Beliefs in the Gióng Festival in Vietnam

Abstract
Giong festival in Phu Dong Temple and Soc Temple is a representative intangible cultural heritage of mankind included in the list of UNESCO in 2010. Up to now, many researches on Giong festival have been published. In this article, the author analyzes the folk beliefs that exist in Giong festival: natural god beliefs, fertility beliefs, worship of cultural heroes, national heroes, etc. cultural, scientific and historical values of Giong festival.
