Call for Papers for the Issue of the "NUK Humanities Journal"

1. The journal publishes academic research papers in the fields of humanities and social sciences (including languages such as Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean) and seeks contributions through open submissions and special invitations.

2. A new issue is published every June. Submissions are open throughout the year and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Each contributor is limited to one submission per issue, and submitted papers should not have been previously published elsewhere.

3. Process: Submitted papers will undergo an initial review by the editorial committee for formatting and academic relevance before being sent to external scholars for expert evaluation. The review process maintains a double-blind, anonymous format. Upon acceptance after external review, the authors will receive a copy of the current journal and a journal CD, with no additional compensation. (The decision to publish in the current journal issue and the publication schedule will be determined by the editorial committee based on review feedback and completion time.)

4. Once a paper passes the review process, the copyright transfers to the journal. Reproduction, translation, or redistribution without written consent from the journal is prohibited.

5. Upon acceptance and inclusion in the journal, authors agree to authorize the journal to grant further rights to the National Library or other database operators for reproduction, online services, user downloads, printing, browsing, etc. Modifications may be made to meet specific database requirements.

6. Please write submissions in Chinese, English, Japanese, or Korean. The first page should contain an abstract in the primary language and a maximum of 5 keywords. The second page should contain an English abstract and a maximum of 5 keywords. Papers should range from 12~30 pages (excluding the abstracts). Basic formatting details are as follows:

(1) Paper: A4 size, landscape orientation.
(2) Page Layout: 3.17 cm top and bottom margins, 2.54 cm left and right margins.
(3) Line Spacing: 1.5 line spacing.

7. Authors must obtain prior consent letters or permissions from original authors or publishers for copyrighted content (such as images or lengthy quotations) included in their submissions before publication. The journal will not be liable for copyright issues arising from plagiarism or infringement. Authors involved in such disputes will be prohibited from submitting to this journal in the future.

8. Required submission materials:

(1) One copy of the copyright consent form.
(2) One author information form (please fill in both Chinese and English names, institution/title, mailing address, contact email, and phone number for correspondence).
(3) Three hard copies of the manuscript (avoiding personal identity details, expressions of gratitude, personal information, or technology-related project codes from the Ministry of Science and Technology).

9. Submission-related fees:

(1) Review fee: Upon submission, authors are required to pay a review fee of NT$1,000 (please refer to the attachment 1).
(2) Third review fee: If the submitted manuscript enters the third review process, authors are required to pay a third review fee of NT$1,000 (please refer to the attachment 2).
(3) Publication fee: Authors whose submissions are recommended for publication after external review are required to pay a publication fee of NT$1,000 (please refer to the attachment 3).

Please remit the above-mentioned review fee, the third review fee, and the publication fee to the university's special account for administrative funds. After completing the remittance, kindly provide the receipt via fax or email to the committee.
